2. perimeter of rectangle=sum of all sides
let Breadth be x
Then length=2x+2
perimeter = 154 m
(2x+2)+x+(2x+2)+x=154
6x+4=154
x=(154-4)/6
x=25 m

3.Let the no. be x
subtract 1/2 from x u will get result = (x-1/2)
Then. 1/2(x-1/2)
It will be equal to 1/8
so, 1/2(x-1/2)=1/8
(x-1/2) = 1/4
x=(1/4)+(1/2)
x=3/4

4.Let age of the son be x
Then Fathers age = 2x
Father is 29 year older than his so father age = (x+29)

THEN 2x and (x+29) both are father and they should be equal
2x=x+29
x = 29
son s age is 29 years
his father age =2x
= 2×29
= 48 years

5.Let the first integer be x
then 2nd = x+1
3rd. = x+2
mutiply first integer by 2
= 2x
2nd by 3 = 3x+3
3rd by 4 = 4x+8
Now there sum will be 74

(2x)+(3x+3)+(4x+8)=74
9x+11 = 74

Rahuls age = 5x
Harish age = 7x
After 4 year there ages will be
Rahuls after 4 year= 5x+4

so, (5x+4)+(7x+4)=56
12x+8 = 56
x = 4
Rahuls present age is 5x
=5×4
=20 years
