Jackson Wang (Chinese: 王嘉爾; Korean: 왕잭슨; born 28 March 1994) is a Hong Kong rapper, singer and dancer based in China. He is the founder of record label Team Wang, and is the creative director and lead designer for fashion brand Team Wang Design.[2][3][4] He is active in mainland China as a solo artist and television host. He is a member of the South Korean boy group Got7.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Wang was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team. He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics,[5] and won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships in 2011. After passing a music audition, he moved to Seoul, South Korea in July 2011 to pursue a career in K-pop. In January 2014, after over two years of training, Wang debuted as a member of Got7 with the single "Girls Girls Girls".

Jackson Wang is a Hong Kong-South Korean rapper, singer and dancer. He came to fame as a member of the South Korean boy group, ‘Got7.’
His parents were sportspersons and his father wanted Jackson to become a fencer like him. He won the Asian Junior Cadet Fencing Championship but decided to follow his passion.
He relocated to South Korea and made his debut with the number, ‘Girls Girls Girls.’ He made his debut on the Chinese television as a presenter of the show, ‘Go Fridge,’ and wrote the music for the theme song of the show. Jackson was born Wang Ka Yee on March 28, 1994, in Kowloon Tong, British Hong Kong, to Wang Ruiji and Sophia Chow.
He studied at the American International School in Hong Kong till the 11th grade and started learning fencing from the age of 10. His father trained him in the sport and he became a member of the Hong Kong national fencing team.
During the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics, he was ranked eleventh. He went on to win a number of fencing titles, including the winner of the Asian Junior Cadet Fencing Championship in 2011.
Though Jackson was shaping up as a fencer with great potential, his mind was always on the show business. He turned down a scholarship to Stanford University for fencing in favour of an offer from the South Korean talent agency, ‘JYP Entertainment.’
In July 2011, he relocated to Seoul, South Korea, to train for K-pop under JYP Entertainment. Two years later he appeared in the reality show, ‘WIN: Who is Next,’ as a trainee of ‘JYP Entertainment’ against trainees of ‘YG Entertainment.’
