• Kumaraswami Kamaraj played a commanding part in shaping India's fortune after the passing down of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, to the Congress split in 1969.
• He was born to humble, polite and poor in a backward area of Tamil Nadu Chennai on July 15, 1903.
• He was a Nadar, one of the most depressing gentries of Hindu society.
• His training lasted only six times. At the age of twelve, he was formerly working as a shop adjunct.
