The grand old man of India is Dadabhai Naoroji.Mahatma Gandhi once wrote a letter to  Naoroji that "The Indians look up to you as children to the father".

He was the first Asian to be a member of British parliament. He was one of the founders of Indian National Congress and served as its President thrice.
