Little Tim was Helen's pet, a tamed canary that would hop on to her finger and eat candied cherries out of her hand. Miss Sullivan had taught Helen how to take care of her pet. Every morning after breakfast, Helen prepared his bath, made his cage clean and sweet and filled his cups with fresh seed and water from the well-house and hung a spray of chickweed in his swing

Little tim was a bird gifted my miss sullivan(helen's teacher ) on chrismas to helen but onces the cage was kept open of tim and a cat came and took the bird and when the cat paased away from door then the cat touched with helen on door then helen realized that tim is taken by cat which just touched her and ran away this happened because of her carelessness..
