Marilyn Monroe was an actress, probably the most celebrated Hollywood actress. she was born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, USA. Her parents were unable to pay for her bringing up, thus she was sent to a foster home. Her mother did get her custody but was shortly sent to a mental hospital due to her unstable condition. Her mothers best friend then sent her to many foster homes and finally to Los Angleles Orphan Home. Marilyn was traumatised by her experience and was soon taken back by her moms best friend. Her first film was in 1947 with a bit part in The Shocking Miss Pilgrim (1947). She returned to modeling. Columbia Pictures then picked her up to play Peggy Martin in Ladies of the Chorus (1948), where she sang two numbers. Notices from the critics were favorable for her, if not the film, but Columbia dropped her. Once again Marilyn returned to modeling. Marilyn after all her struggles, had a wonderful career and passes away on August 5, 1962, due to drug overdose...
