2. A × B = 0, implies that either (i) A and B are parallel to each other or (ii) B =0 or A = 0 ( but A ≠ 0 is given).

3. From 1 and 2, A and B orthogonal to each other , as well as A and B parallel to each other. These two requirements are contradictory to each other. So this option is ruled out. The only option which is consistent with both 1 and 2 above is that B = 0.

So we conclude that B= 0.
