• Ovide Decroly, was a Belgian pioneer in the education of children, including those with mild physical disabilities. He worked as a physician, and later became involved in a school for disabled children

• He founded a school for children with mild disabilities such as behavioral disorders, light mental retardation, learning disabilities. He gradually invented his education.
