Answer:

Pythagoras..

Pythagoras of Samos (c. 570 – c. 495 BC) was an ancient Ionian Greek philosopher and the eponymous founder of Pythagoreanism. His political and religious teachings were well known in Magna Graecia and influenced the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle, and, through them, Western philosophy.

Irrational Number...

A real number that can NOT be made by dividing two integers (an integer has no fractional part). "Irrational" means "no ratio", so it isn't a rational number. ... Example: π (the famous number "pi") is an irrational number, as it can not be made by dividing two integers.

PYTHAGORAS WAS AN ANCIENT IONIAN GREEK MATHEMATICIAN AND ALSO THE FOUNDER OF PYTHAGORISM ,

HE LIVED BETWEEN 570 BC - 495 BC ,HE WAS BORN IN SAMOS GREECE,

,HE DISCOVERED THAT THERE ARE SOME NUMBERS WHICH CANNOT BE EXPRESSED IN FORM OF P/Q ,WHICH LEAD TO DISCOVERY OF IRRATIONAL NUMBERS ,

THERE IS ALSO A MYTH THAT HE PUNISHED BY GODS TO FIND SUCH NUMBERS WHICH DON'T FOLLOWS RELIGIOUS BELIEVES ,

HE DISCOVERED THAT WHEN TRIED TO REPRESENT √2 IN THE FORM OF P/Q, HE COULD NOT FIND TWO NUMBERS ,HE MAY HET CLOSE TO DECIMAL BUT NOT PERFECTLY .
