Aram Shah was the son of Qutb-ud-Din Aibak. Aram Shah was the 2nd sultan of the Slave Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate. After the sudden death of his father Qutb-ud-Din Aibak, Aram Shah sat on the throne. The kingdom suffered invasion from the neighboring ruler Nasir ad-Din Qabacha of Multan. Iltutmish, son-in-law of Qutb-ud-Din Aibak marched to Delhi, where he seized the power and defeated the forces of Aram Shah at Bagh-i Jud. It was not clear whether Aram Shah was killed on the battlefield, or put to death as a prisoner of war.
