Raziya sultan,the only muslim woman ruler of Delhi,succeeded Iltutamish.According to Minhaj-us-siraj,chronicler of the period,Raziya Sultan 'was a great monarch, wise,a dispenser of justice and protector of her subjects but born of the wrong gender.
