Hey Dear!
_________
The Poem 'The Frog and the Nightingale' has been taken from the ‘Beastly Tales’, a work by Indian Writer Vikram Seth.
The question is related to as who was responsible for the Nightingale's death.
It appears that the Frog might be taken as responsible for Nightingale's death, but, the Nightingale was more responsible for her death. She was a melodious and intelligent singer but acted as brainless and fool. She was meek, dismissive and lacked self-confidence in her singing.
The charm of getting more popular played heavy on it. She was easily influenced by the cunning, jealous and crafty frog. The Frog also, very cleverly, rendered Nightingale itself responsible for its death by saying that she was stupid, nervous and prone to influence and lacked confidence in her song - He said, "She should have known that your song must be your own."
At last, the Nightingale dies of a burst in vein when she was trying to draw a deep breath to sing loud and strong.
