Tsunami:

A continuous series of large waves, which are formed due to an earthquake, underwater landslide, or volcanic eruption, were called as Tsunami.

High-intensity Earthquakes say 7 or more on the Richter-scale, which is produced in the underwater sea bed can create a major tsunami.

Commonly Tsunamis are occurred in the subduction zones of the earth. The earth’s crusts which are pressed against each other and sinking deep into the mantle of the Earth can also be one of the reason for the Tsunami.
