Robert Hook was a scientist , who discovered cell in 1665 .




according to them cell was the the Honeycomb structure !!!

in 1664 Robert hooke observed a thin silver of dried cork under a microscope...he saw that cork was made up of thousands of tightly packed rows of compartments ...he coined the term "cell" for these compartments because they reminded him of the tiny rooms of monks which were called "cellula".in 1665, he published a book entitled micrographia which contained a number of microscopic and telescope observation....
