Shakeel Ahmad (born 2 January 1956)[1] was a member of the 12th and 14th Lok Sabha of India. He was a general secretary of the Indian National Congress (INC).
Ahmad was first elected as MLA in 1985, and thereafter in 1990 and 2000. He was elected to Lok Sabha in 1998 and again in 2004.[2] He also served as general secretary of the Indian National Congress Party.He served as Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Health in Bihar Government led by Rabri Devi.
In June 2013, he was promoted as a member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and was put in charge of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, as the National General Secretary.
