Answer:

Explanation:

Sidda is their servant and Leela is shown to be playing with him and enjoying the play-time and also listening to different stories from Sidda. Leela even teaches Sidda during this time with full concern and responsibility. She even takes a stand, in proportion to her age against the fact when Sidda is blamed for theft and hence readers can easily see the reflection of a good and supportive friend in her.

Answer :-

Sidda was the servant of Mr. Sivasanker's house and Leela's playmate.

Sidda was a poor boy who belonged to the downtrodden class. Sidda was appointed in the sivasanker's house for his tidiness. He was employed in the house to wash clothes, tend the garden, run errands, chop wood and look after Leela. He was a patient play fellow with vivid imagination. He was an adept at understanding child physiology and possessed a good presence of mind. He was a good storyteller and a storehouse of magical tales. He could fabricate fantastic stories which filled Leela's innocent mind with wonder. He successfully convinced Leela that he knew the mood and it listens to whatever he says. On account of the loss of the gold chain Sidda had to suffer humiliation. He became a victim of cruel exploitation of the upper class. Sidda, at the end of the gold chain episode, proved to be a tragic figure who was deprived of justice. Though he was finally realized from jail, Mr. Sivasanker refused to give back Sidda his job as he was already labelled a criminal.
