Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October,2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly.In this election ruling NDA(National Democratic Alliance) and Shiv Sena won majority.But due some political differences,alliance was dissolved. Due to this President's rule had been applied in the state.
On 26th November,2019 Devendrerv Fadnavis resigned. After that 28 November,2019 NCP and Shiv Sena formed the govt. under new alliance.
