Current D.E.O of Cachar district:

• Shri Sudeep Nath is the current D.E.O or district election officer of the Cachar District.

• D.E.O  is the general Controlling Authority of all the elections in the District.  

• He is mainly a Returning Officer for Parliamentary Constituency and officers not under the rank of Deputy Collectors are elected as Returning Officers for Legislative Assembly Constituencies.
