There is no post such as Education Minister of India as of now. The Ministry of Education currently is under Ministry of HRD. The current HRD (Human Resource Development formerly education ministry) minister of India is Mr. Prakash Javadekar. He is in the office since July 5, 2016. There are two ministers of state:

1. Upendra Kushwaha since May 26, 2014

2. Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey since July 5, 2016

But every state in India has its own Education Ministry and, hence, an Education Minister.
