Dabral is one of the most powerful voices in the world of contemporary Hindi poetry. Born in a small village in Tehri Garhwal of Uttarakhand, Dabral completed his education in Dehradun. Working as a journalist and an editor in various Hindi newspapers and periodicals, Dabral already has five poetry collections to his name. His anthology of poems Hum Jo Dekhte Hain has won him the prestigious Sahitya Academy Award in 2000.
