Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2nd 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat.
His parents were Kaba Gandhi and Putli Gandhi.
As a student he was brilliant and from a very early age,he displayed and fostered virtues of honesty and truthfulness.
He completed his school and college education in Gujarat itself.
Mohandas then went to England to study law and become a Barrister.On completing his study in law in 1893 he went to South Africa to practice there.
He started a movement called Non-cooperation Movement to make the ppl aware that all must help to free India from British Rule.He also started the Quit India Movement which played a great role in the freedom to India.
On 30th January 1948 after the Independence of India, he was shot by Nathuram Godse.
