Mr.R. K. Shanmukham Chetty
was the First Finance Minister of Independent India,from 15th August 1947 to 1949, in the period when Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister of India.
He was from the Indian National Congress.
He also presented its first Budget of India.
