There are several answers to this question from the Hindu Sacred Scriptures both the Shrutis and the Smrutis. No one knows for sure as there is no direct answer to this . Most commonly believed by Hindu “Scholars” is the first person to be set foot on earth is “Manu”.

Now as per Islam , Christianity and Jewish Religious Scriptures the first man on earth was Adam (peace be upon him). Now this does not match with Hindu Scriptures and Mythology. How can we reconcile this ?

Now let us analyse who is Manu? where are the origins of Manu. Many of the Hindu Scholars believe Manu is a actually MAHA- NOOH, meaning the great Nooh , Who is Nooh ? Nooh (peace be upon him) is one of messenger of Almighty Allah , Nooh is also pronounced as Noah in the Christian and Jewish Scriptures. If we reconcile that Manu and Nooh is same , then the hindu beleif that he was the first person on the earth is misplaced.

What could be the reason for this misplaced notion ?

All three scriptures Torah, Bible and Quran talks about the great flood which wiped out the generation in times of Noah and only a few people were saved who were righteous and have embarked upon the ship of Noah , known as the Ark. After the flood and rains subsided , which lasted for 40 days and night while major portion of the earth was submerged in water Noah set foot on earth and then from him and his offsprings the humanity followed , he is also known as the second Adam of the world. I think this is closest we can go to reconcile the difference between the Hindu Scriptures and Other scriptures on this subject . Allah knows the best .

I hope I have been able to give you a satisfactory answer.
