George Bernard Shaw
Bernard Shaw won the Nobel Prize (Literature) in 1925 for his contribution to literature.
In 1938 he was awarded the Academy Award (Best Adapted Screenplay) for the film adaptation of his play Pygmalion.
It is interesting to note that he could have also received a knighthood, but refused to accept it.
And no, Al Gore didn't win both an Academy Award and a Nobel Prize. He definitely won the Nobel Peace Prize. But he did not receive an Academy Award for the 'The Inconvenient Truth'. That went to the director of the documentary, Davis Guggenheim.
