Did you know that there is one woman in American history who was the wife of one president, and the mother of another? That’s right, Abigail Adams, who was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, was the wife of John Adams and together they had four children. While John Adams spent much of his time traveling on official business, Abigail stayed home and took care of the family and tended their farm. Her son, John Quincy Adams, would travel with his father every chance he could once he was old enough. It is not surprising, then, that he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a president too!
