actually light of Asia is a book written by sir Edward Arnold.and by this I mean this book was written based on lord Buddha so he is referred as light of Asia.

The "book light of Asia" describes the "life" of Prince Gautama Buddha". The book describes about his life who became "The Buddha" after attaining enlightenment came to be known as "The Awakened One". The book which is a free adaptation of Lalita vistara present the journey, philosophy and character of Buddha and presents it in a series of verses. The book was subtitled "The Great Renunciation" and was written by "Sir Edwin Arnold".
