The planning commission has been transformed into the organisation named as NITI Ayog. Prime Minister is the director of NITI Ayog. In 2015, the Planning commission has been superseded by NITI Aayog whose CEO is Amitabh Kant and director is the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
