The poet wants us to influence the guidance of moving forward in every circumstances and to never wind up our mind by looking at our mistakes which we have done in past. He recommends us to neglect the work done behind and to the people who tries to pull you back by bringing up your past in to your present. Such conditions are hard to face but if you are challenging the situation and tackling it well then you are on to the path of success.
