Answer:

Mitochondria are known as the powerhouses of the cell. They are organelles that act like a digestive system which takes in nutrients, breaks them down, and creates energy rich molecules for the cell. The biochemical processes of the cell are known as cellular respiration.

 \huge \sf Mitochondria

➳ Mitochondria is known as the Power house of the cell.

➳ It is the spot where the energy needed by the cell is produced in the form of ATP molecules.

➳ It is a double membranes deeply folded organelle ( deeply folded to increase the surface area of ATP production.

➳ It is a mysterious organelle and has some of its own DNA . Scientists say that once long long ago these mitochondria should have been living on their own and then once a cell engulfed this mitochondria and seeing its uses, it must have decided to keep it.

➳ We get the mitochondrial DNA from our mothers.
