Who is the present chairperson and secretary general of the national huma rights commission

Shri Justice H L Dattu is the present chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission. He assumed duty on 29th February 2016. Before taking up this post, he was the Chief Justice of India.



Shri Ambuj Sharma is the present secretary general of the National Human Rights Commission. He assumed duty on 31st July 2016. Mr Sharma is an IAS officer of the 1983 batch from Tamil Nadu.
