Hello friend,

The President of the Republic of South Africa is considered to be the  the head of state and head of government under the Constitution of South Africa. This authoritative figure was also known as the State President  from 1961 to 1994.Africa's the third post-apartheid President was elected before the resignation of Thabo Mbeki who shortly  served before being followed by Jacob Zuma, who afterwards appointed Motlanthe deputy president.

Therefore Jacob Zuma is the current president of Africa.

Thanks
