West Indies is made up of several independent island republics like Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua, St. Kitts & Nevis, Barbados and so on. They are also known as the Caribbean Islands. Only for Cricket, the West Indies functions as a single unit. In other sports, the republics participate in their own capacities. In politics and in Government, each of them function independently. Therefore, each of them have their individual heads of state or Government and there is no single Prime Minister of the West Indies.
