Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan had 16 children, but many of them died in infancy. The mother of his 14 children was Mumtaz Mahal. At the time of Mumtaz's death eight children were alive. The four daughters were Purhunar Bano Begum (daughter of Shah Jahan by another wife), Jahan-Ara Begum, Roshan-Ara Begum and Gauhar Ara Begum. Shah Jahan’s four sons were Dara Shikoh, Shah Shuja, Aurangzeb and Murad Bakhsh.

Heyaaa...

Shah Jahan had 16 children and many died during infant period..

When his wife Mumtaz died only eight of his children were alive..

So they were four daughters and four sons..

Four Daughters :

$ Purhunar Bano Begam

$ Jahan Ara Begam

$ Roshan Ara Begum

$ Gauhar Ara Begum

Four sons :

$ Dara Shikoh

$ Shah Shuja

$ Aurangazeb

$ Murad Bakhsh

When Shah Jahan was ill, war succession took place bw his sons...

And Aurangazeb defeated all the three and he ascended the throne of Hindustan...

Hope it helps my frnd...
