Speaker is,the old man,named Kaspar.He is telling about the destructions of the"famous" and "great " victory betwee English and French.He was telling his grandchildren about the tragic of war. English defeated the French.As a result many dead bodies were laying in the shining sun.But being a Bavarian Kaspar supported English and said that these these destructions are common in every"famous"victory.
