Ans. Dr. Adrian Helmsley, part of a worldwide geological team investigating the effect on the earth of radiation from unusual solar storms, learns that the earth's core is heating up. He warns U.S. President Thomas Wilson that the crust of the earth is becoming unstable and that without proper preparations for saving a fraction of the world's population, the entire race is doomed. World leaders begin secret preparations to build "arks" for the survival of select members of society to escape the upcoming disaster. Meanwhile, writer Jackson Curtis stumbles on the same information. He tries to find a way to save his family. Meanwhile, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes and tsunamis of extraordinary strength destroy the world.

Ans. My favourite character in this movie is Dr. Adrian Helmsley. He is a part of a worldwide geological team investigating the effect of radiation from unusual solar storms on the earth. He learns that the earth's core is heating up. I like this character because he is selfless and wants that everybody should get at least a chance to get saved. He wanted people of Ark 4 to get aboard even though there was very less time. This is why he is my favourite character in the movie.
f. If you wanted to change a character or a situation whom/what would you change and why? (60-80 words)
Ans. I would like to change the character Carl Anheuser. He was the White House Chief of Staff to late president Thomas Wilson. He tries to keep the 2012 apocalypse a secret from the public in order to prevent massive civil chaos. He believed that only the richest people are needed to survive the disaster. He wanted to let the people of Ark 4 die as they were late and if it were not for Dr. Adrian Helmsley they would have died inspite of spending 1 billion dollars each. This is the reason why I would like to change this character.
g. What did you learn from the movie? (30-50 words)
Ans. I learnt the impact of Global Warming. Global warming is the slow increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere because an increased amount of the heat striking the earth from the sun is being trapped in the atmosphere and not radiated out into space. In the movie because of global warming earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and crust shift occurred.
