Dipendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev was the King of Nepal He was born on (27 June 1971 – 4 June 2001) for three days from 1 to 4 June 2001.For the duration of his three day reign he was in a coma, having shot himself in the head after a killing rampage he directed against his extended family.
Dipendra slipped into a coma after shooting himself. Dipendra was declared king of Nepal while comatose after the death of King Birendra. He died in hospital three days after the massacre without regaining consciousness.
