Alauddin died on the night of 4 January 1316. Barani claims that according to "some people", Kafur murdered him. Towards the end of the night, Kafur brought the body of Alauddin from the Siri Place and had it buried in Alauddin's mausoleum (which had already been built before Alauddin's death).

About Allaudin Khilji, it is said that he was most brutal & lusty King. He declared himself as a prophet of Allah, he slaughtered head of his own uncle Jalaudin to sit on the throne of the Delhi. After becoming sultan he massacred thousands of people in Delhi. Also numerous rapes were committed by him & his soldiers. He was having about 30,000 concubines & 20,000 to fulfill his lust. He used to enjoy a gay love, he purchased the slave called Malik Kafoor. He also made him a general in his army. And this was his biggest mistake. Malik Kafoor was a gay but was having immense wish of usurping throne of Delhi. In some event while his campaign Allaudin lost his right leg. Malik Kafoor took advantage of this situation & cunningly killed Khilji, he also blinded his two of the sons as he wanted to make his own son a Sultan of Delhi but soon after 3 months Allaudin’s death he was killed by the conspiracy of the ministers in his court.
