Qutub-uddin-Aibak led the foundation of Delhi sultanate . He ruled India from 1206–1526.He conquered large areas of northern India. He was the commander of Muhammad Ghori marked the beginning of the Mamluk .

Mamluk dynasty ( slave dynasty) was founded by qutubuddin Aibak the slave of Muhammad Ghori who was responsible for the places captured by Muhammad Ghori in India after the death of Muhammad Ghori qutubuddin Aibak declared himself as a Sultan of India and made Delhi its capital.
qutubuddin aibak was the first one to lay the foundation of Delhi Sultanate.
