Scholars Revolt of 1868 in Vietnam by led by Officials of the Imperial court.

The French occupation in Vietnam was oppressive and destructive for the culture of Vietnam. We see in 1868, the angry officials of the Imperial court started an uprising against the spread of Catholicism and French occupation of Vietnam. The uprising was called Scholars Revolt and they killed thousands of christians. The movement was suppressed by the French but it inspire the people of Vietnam against the French occupation.
