• Its design is losely related to Jama Masjid in Delhi which was built by Aurangzeb's father, Shah Jahan.
• It is a Mughal Era mosque in Lahore, it is famous for its beauty of Mughal era .
• After the fall of Mughal empire it was used as a defence force by sikh and british empire.
