In 1589, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty, selected the present site of the city and established the city of Hyderabad at the banks of the Musi river to overcome water shortages experienced at Golconda.

It was prepared by the Geological Survey of India.

  • It was aptly prepared in the year 1821.
  • The charminar was considered as the prime figure while developing the map.
  • However, Muammad Qul Qub Shah, the fifth of the Qub Shahs, established a new city about the year 1591.
  • Hyderabad was the name of the city.
  • It was located on the Musi River's east bank, not very far away from the historic region of Golconda.
