The answer is Palamon.
Two knight cousins Palamon and Arcite imprisoned by Duke Theseus of Athens fall in love with his sister-in-law Emelye at the same time. While Arcite is released from prison because of his good deeds, Palamon escapes after drugging the jailor. They soon become arch rivals and engage in a duel who has the right to win her hand.
Theseus decides to sentence them to death but upon intervention by Emelye and other family member makes them compete in a mass judicial tournament to decide the winner. Theseus also declares the seriously injured person would be taken out of the battlefield and cannot continue the combat. As the tournament progresses, Palamon is wounded and unhorsed by one of Arcite’s men. Theseus declares Arcite the winner when Saturn intervenes and gets Arcite’s horse to throw him off and fall on him before he gets a chance to claim Emelye. Before he takes his last breath, Arcite asks Emelye to marry Palamon as he would make an ideal husband for her. Emelye agrees and the two get married.
