The answer is Chandrashekar Azad.
The incident took place on 27 February 1931 at Alfred Park in Allahabad. Chandrashekar Azad was surrounded by police in the park after the latter was tipped off by an unidentified informer about his presence there. There was a long shootout and three policemen were killed. Finally, when it was almost sure that Chandrashekar Azad would have to surrender himself, he used the last bullet of his Colt pistol to shoot himself dead. He was only 24 years old at the time of his death.
