The Mayor and Town councillors ordered to melt the statue of the Happy Prince.

They pulled down the statue as it looked shabby. They melted the statue but failed to melt the leaden heart. One day God asked one of his angels to bring two most precious things from the earth. The Angel brought the leaden heart of the Happy Prince and the dead swallow.
