Mohammad Zubair and Sri Krishna Singh organised the Kisan Sabha at Munger, district of Bihar in 1922-1923.

The organisation was found to mobolise the grievances of the peasants and against the oppressive policies of zamindars and middleman. In 1929 Bihar Provincial Kisan Sabha was found and later in 1936 All India Kisan Sabha was formed and  Swami Shajanand Saraswati became its first President.
