qutub udi aullah and some other members made qutub minar to show there creativity and power many other kings also wanted to associate there kingdoms with the minar and hence tried to make a tower beside it. nowdays also people want to build there tower near it

It was started by Qutub-ud-din Aibak and was dedicated to the Sufi saint Qutb-ud-din Bakhtiyar Kaki.
