In 1859, Charles Darwin set out his theory of evolution by natural selection as an explanation for adaptation and speciation. He defined natural selection as the "principle by which each slight variation [of a trait], if useful, is preserved".
As the organs are developed and functional in lower organisms, they act as the proof of evolution. For example, appendix, ear muscles, nictitating membrane of eye, mammary gland in man are some of the vestigial organs present in human body

Charles Darwin gave theory of natural selection in which organisms with advantageous adaptions would increase in number as they are better suited to environment. Those without these adaptions would be rooted out and perish. Nature selects advantageous adaptions through natural agents like predators, calamities etc.
Vestigial organs are those which no longer serve a purpose to the bearer but continue down progeny in a reduced form. example appendix in humans and pinna( external ear.)PLS MARK AS BRAINLIEST
