The letter was read by a postmaster. In it, was Lencho requesting God for money to recover as he'd lost all his crops in the hail. He was touched by the farmer's faith in God and decided to help him. He made this decision so that Lencho's faith wouldn't be broken. Him, along with a few other employees gathered and saved upto seventy pesos. He mailed the letter, signing it with "God". Lencho wasn't surprised when he saw the letter. He was confident that God would help him in this situation. Though as he counted the money, he got angry as he hadn't received the full amount. He then wrote another letter to God where he asked for the remaining sum. He made it a condition not to send it through the post office employees as he thought they had taken the remaining amount.

From the lesson, "A Letter To God", by G. L Fuentes.
