Currently, India has seven Union Territories viz. Andaman and Nicobar Islands; Chandigarh; Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, NCT of Delhi and Puducherry. The Union Territories are administered by the President through an administrator, who is appointed by him with a suitable designation.
