The Vice President is the ex officio chairperson of Rajya Sabha. He also serves as a speaker of Rajya Sabha. Th current speaker of Rajya Sabha is Venkaiah Naidu.

  • Vice President takes place of the President if the current President impeached or resigned until the new President comes to power.

  1. He/She must be Indian
  2. He/She must be more than 35 years old.
